It was some time after Thanksgiving and before Christmas 2006 that my hubby, Allen, (know to many as the Technofile Al Fasoldt -- www.technofileonline.com -- but to me he's Allen) got the idea we needed a motorhome.
We needed to travel, he decided, to kickoff a new life together, one unfettered by the work-a-day world, one full of free open spaces, wind in our hair and two mighty big Standard Poodles, Joshua and Jacob.
So he searched and searched and searched and, on Christmas Eve, discovered Otto, our 2007 Navion, model 23j. In iowa.
We made the 3,000 mile round-trip from Central New York to Iowa in January (through a lake-effect blizzard!) to pick him up.
